Before you write: what to include
The most useful message tells us your organisation's sector and size, the challenge or decision you're facing, and roughly what timeline you're working to. You don't need to have a clear brief — many of our best engagements started with a message that said 'something isn't working and I can't quite diagnose it'. We read every message personally and respond with a specific observation or a proposed 45-minute scoping call. We don't send automated sales sequences. If your situation doesn't fit what Pandahstone does, we'll tell you plainly and point you toward someone who can help.

Honest answers to the things people ask most often.
How long does a typical engagement take?
Strategy engagements run 8–12 weeks. Operations reviews run 12–16 weeks including implementation support. Transformation programmes range from 4 to 9 months depending on scope. The advisory retainer is month-to-month from a minimum of three months.
Do you work outside Kisumu?
Yes. We work across Kenya and have conducted engagements in Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Travel costs are charged at actuals and agreed in advance.
What size organisation do you typically work with?
Most of our clients have between 50 and 500 staff. We occasionally work with smaller organisations if the challenge is well-defined and the leadership team is genuinely ready to act on the findings.
Do you work with NGOs and public sector bodies?
Yes, and we have done since 2017. We understand donor reporting cycles, procurement governance requirements, and the political dynamics that affect public sector change programmes. We price differently for non-profit mandates.
How do you charge for your work?
Project engagements are quoted as fixed fees agreed before the work begins — no hourly billing surprises. The advisory retainer is a fixed monthly fee billed in advance. We provide a detailed scope and fee proposal after the initial scoping call.
